“When I visited Paris, I made it a mission to capture the soul of Notre-Dame — not just the beauty of its architecture, but the feeling of standing in front of something that's endured centuries.

This painting was inspired by a moment of quiet in the early morning, just before the crowds. The birds were scattering across the plaza, the sun was casting this golden light over the front of the cathedral, and for a second, it felt like time had frozen.

Notre-Dame has recently undergone major reconstruction after the devastating fire in
2019. Seeing it restored, glowing like this, made me think about resilience — how even after tragedy, beauty can rise again.
